Who We Are

About The Mediation Center

Together we can make a difference.

Mediation is a voluntary process that empowers individuals to have a role resolving their own conflicts outside of Court. Although a Court may order parties to attend mediation, it is up to the parties to create a settlement that works for their unique situation. Mediation may be the last opportunity to have a say in the outcome of your dispute before a judge or jury determines it for you. The mediator is a neutral and will not judge your case, take sides, nor offer legal advice.
We provide affordable professional mediation services for a variety of disputes, by partnering with trained Rule 31 mediators who are paid through a sliding scale. We also offer grant-funded mediations for qualified indigent participants. The Mediation Center also offers professional mediation trainings, continuing education, seminars, court ordered parenting and juvenile classes. We serve the 21st and 22nd judicial district and surrounding counties. Including but not limited to Maury, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Wayne, Giles, Marshall and Williamson.
